Las Colinas Boulevard

Follow Las Colinas Boulevard from Highway 161 to Northwest Highway, and you’ll see an abundance of Bluebonnets. Particular Bluebonnet hotspots include the intersection at Colwell and the intersection at La Villita. In addition to the blooming Bluebonnets, you’ll also enjoy stunning treeline views and cacti that add a true Texas touch. Remember, Las Colinas Boulevard is a busy street, so be careful when pulling over to take pictures.

Bluebonnet Trail Greenbelt

The Bluebonnet Trail Greenbelt, located in Plano, runs from Central Expressway to Midway Road. This stunning nature trail is named after the Bluebonnet because when spring arrives, it’s popping with Bluebonnet blooms. Because of the trail’s walkability, it’s easier to take photos of Bluebonnets and other spring flowers than in spots that are only accessible by car. A pedestrian hybrid beacon at Alma Drive helps trail users cross the street, and the trail eventually intersects with Chisholm Trail and connects with Preston Ridge Trail in Carpenter Park.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s Pollinator Pathway and Rock Springs exhibit are guaranteed spots to view incredible Bluebonnet Blooms. The facility also showcases Texas mountain laurels, peach trees, and Redbuds. When the cherry trees start to bloom, that’s another photo opportunity you won’t want to miss.

These are just three of the many Irving-area spots where you can view Bluebonnets. No matter which one you visit, you’ll enjoy viewing the Texas State Flower.
