Relaxation and recreation are vital for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. A beautiful park is a great place to take care of both needs. Irving, Texas, is home to a few parks ideal for just these sorts of activities. Check out the details of a couple of our favorites below.

Campion Trails

If a peaceful walk through a gorgeous landscape is your ideal form of recreation, head down to Campion Trails at Riverside Drive & Spur 348 in Irving. These trails make up a 22-mile greenbelt that runs along the Elm and West branches of the Trinity River. While most parks offer either a rustic or urban experience, Campion Trails delivers both. An expansion is in the works that will connect these trails to Centennial park in Irving’s historic Heritage District.

Centennial Park

This beautiful park was created in 2003 and dedicated in celebration of the city’s first hundred years of prosperity. At its heart is Founder’s Plaza, where you and your loved ones can go over the rich history of the city of Irving, Texas. This park features large parking lots, barbecue grills, and lit running and walking trails. A large pavilion is available for events, and the trail is made of concrete. Centennial Park runs up against a lake that is frequently visited by many bird species.

Take a load off at both of these Irving parks on your next day off. You’ll feel your stress wash away as you walk their paths and relax in their pavilions.
