The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is back for the 2022 model year, and it’s better than ever. After taking a short break for 2021, the Eclipse Cross arrives with a new, more modern exterior look and a new rear liftgate design. This latest model has updates in the cabin and some added technology. Introducing the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.

The Exterior

The updated Eclipse Cross has several changes to its exterior design. It now has a bolder front grille and new headlights that highlight Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design. Around back, the split rear window is gone, replaced by a single window that improves visibility. It also has a new rear hatch design, a more subtle lower bumper, and larger taillights.

The Technology

Inside, you’ll find a 7-inch touch screen in the LE, SE, and SEL trims, with a new 8-inch touch screen available as an option for the SEL. Mitsubishi moved the screen forward to make it easier to reach. The new, larger screen also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a navigation system.

The Safety Features

Every 2022 Eclipse Cross comes standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warning, and a mitigation system with pedestrian detection. The LE trim adds rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic high beam headlights. The SE adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and lane-change assist. Stepping up to the SEL trim gets you a multi-angle rearview camera.

The 2022 Eclipse Cross has a lot to offer. Its updated look is new and modern, and it now comes with more tech and safety features.
