Mitsubishi produces some of the safest vehicles on the road today. Read on to learn about Mitsubishi’s modern safety tech and how it protects drivers on the road.

Passive Safety Features

To protect vehicle occupants in a collision, Mitsubishi vehicles enlist several passive safety features. A suite of seven advanced air bags protects all passengers and includes side-curtain bags and an air bag underneath the dashboard of the driver’s seat. Mitsubishi’s Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body construction is designed to absorb energy during a crash and transfer it away from vehicle occupants. Crumple zones and reinforced door beams offer superior protection.

Active Safety Features

Mitsubishi includes many active safety features on their vehicles to prevent a collision or reduce collision severity. Mitsubishi’s adaptive cruise control will maintain a safe following distance by automatically adjusting vehicle speed to compensate for speed and position changes in other vehicles.

A multicamera system makes it easier to maneuver in and out of tight spaces by providing drivers with a bird’s-eye view of their surroundings. If a vehicle is detected behind you when in reverse, a rear cross-traffic alert will warn drivers of a possible collision. The blind-spot warning alerts the driver when a vehicle is in their blind spot by activating a warning light on the side mirror. The lane change assist system will beep if you try to change lanes while a vehicle is in your blind spot.
