The Mitsubishi Mirage comes in two different body styles. The Mirage G4 is the compact sedan, and the Mirage is the hatchback version. Both of these vehicles offer a fuel-efficient ride, a small footprint, and a sleek interior. While the two Mirage models are very similar, they do have some differences. Here’s a look so you can decide which one is right for you.

The Engine

Both the G4 and the Mirage have a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that develops 78 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission comes standard if you choose the base ES, with a CVT offered as an option. The CVT comes standard with the rest of the trims for both models.

The Cabin

The G4 sedan has room for five with 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. The hatchback has 17.1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, and when you fold down the rear seats, the storage area expands to 47 cubic feet. Both models have a simple interior design, and two complete LATCH connectors if you need to install a car seat.

The Models

The most significant difference between the 2020 Mirage and the G4 is the addition of the GT model for the hatchback. This sporty trim adds alloy wheels with a two-tone finish, bi-xenon HID headlights, and heated front seats.

The 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4 are both small and easy to drive. You get some extra cargo space with the hatchback, making it the better choice if you need room for gear.
