One of the best parts about living in Dallas, Texas, is that you can find many opportunities to explore what the city has to offer. From taking a tour to visiting an observation tower, you’ll enjoy discovering Dallas for yourself. Learn about two distinctive ways to see Dallas.
JFK Assassination and Museum Tour
The JFK Assassination and Museum Tour explores some of the conspiracies surrounding one of the darkest days in American history while taking you to legendary landmarks throughout Dallas.
The tour begins at the infamous Texas School Book Depository building, which is now home to the Sixth Floor Museum. Here you can encounter views of Dealey Plaza, the Grassy Knoll, and the John F. Kennedy Memorial. The tour continues to Oak Cliff and Lee Harvey Oswald’s former boarding house. The last stop is the historic Texas Theatre in Oak Cliff, where police arrested Oswald after he assassinated Kennedy and Dallas police officer J. D. Tippit.
Reunion Tower
Constructed in 1978, Reunion Tower is the 15th tallest building in Dallas. At the top of the 470-foot tower is a Geo-Deck that provides visitors with 360-degree panoramic views of downtown Dallas and the Trinity River. The tower offers special champagne toast packages for couples celebrating anniversaries and other special events.
Throughout the year, Reunion Tower also hosts painting classes, sunrise yoga classes, and other workshops. If you visit the tower at night, you’ll see how it lights up via 259 LED fixtures.
The above opportunities are only two of the many dynamic ways you can see Dallas. No matter which outing you choose, you’ll enjoy discovering a different side of the city.
