Check Out the Mustangs
The Mustangs of Las Colinas is a popular site for both locals and tourists in the Irving area. The bronze sculpture is a realistic portrayal of nine wild mustangs running through a stream. Robert Glen created the structure, and it is unique for its size in terms of bronze sculptures. The horses stand at one and a half the size the animals would be in real life. Located in Williams Square Park, the sculpture is the perfect spot to enjoy a lunch or take advantage of a photo opportunity.
Founder’s Plaza
A popular spot for aviation enthusiasts, Founder’s Plaza is the perfect spot to watch the planes coming and going from the DFW airport. The spot features an observation area where you will see various plane types, from small hopper planes to large commercial airliners.
The post is designed for families to enjoy the day and is equipped with picnic tables, a radio that broadcasts the radio tower, telescopes, and even a monument. The plaza also features some historical plaques for you to learn about the history of the airport.
