Dallas, Texas, is home to several distinctive sports venues, including an array of excellent golf courses. Whether you’re new to the game or an old pro, you’re sure to enjoy the city’s top-notch facilities. Discover two can’t-miss golf courses in Dallas.
Tenison Park Golf Course
Tenison Park Golf Course features two state-of-the-art golf courses. The Tenison Glen course was the first municipally owned course in Dallas, while the Tenison Highlands course is one of the city’s premier championship courses. In 2001, PGA Tour player D.A. Weibring redesigned the Tenison Highlands course. Weibring appointed the course with five lakes, 32 sand bunkers, and 419 Bermuda fairways.
The beautiful White Rock Creek winds its way through the Tenison Glen course. Both courses are challenging enough for seasoned golfers yet also fun for beginners. Tenison Park Golf Course also offers guests a practice facility, a world-class pro shop, and a restaurant.
Cedar Crest Golf Course
Cedar Crest Golf Course is a legend in the sport. In 1927, the A.W. Tillinghast-designed course hosted the PGA Championship. Today, guests can play on the same tree-lined fairways and enjoy the same rolling terrain as the pros.
While the course has proven to be a challenge for even the most experienced golfers, it also features family tees to encourage junior golfers who want to play with their parents. A game of golf at Cedar Crest is the perfect opportunity for some family bonding, especially when you consider the course’s reasonably priced memberships.
The locations listed above represent only two of the many excellent golf courses in Dallas. No matter which one you visit, you’re sure to have a great time.
